Updated Life Event enrollments to show the following plan options for employees to elect:

  • If the employee is currently enrolled in a benefit plan option and the election set contains a waive plan option, Dayforce shows the waive plan option. The waive option shows if the benefit plan has the same plan sub-type within the election set.
  • If the employee is currently enrolled in a benefit plan option that is a waive plan option, Dayforce shows all options with the same plan sub-type in the election set.

This update applies to Life Event enrollments if you configure the Sections/Elections tab of Benefits Setup > Enrollments, in the Restrictions section, with the May not change to a different plan restriction.

BCIO-1418

Updated how Dayforce calculates reimbursement and retirement election contributions based on flat amounts when the calculation occurs for different plan years. This update applies when you run the Benefits Re-Calculate Plans task as follows:

  • If the employee elects a reimbursement or retirement plan with the Effective From Date in the future and you run the Benefits Re-Calculate Plans task with the As of Date before the Effective From Date of the election, Dayforce doesn’t update the new election.
  • If the employee has an existing reimbursement or retirement plan election with an Effective To Date and you run the Benefits Re-Calculate Plans task with the As of Date after the Effective To Date of the election, Dayforce doesn’t update the existing election.
  • If the employee has an active reimbursement or retirement plan without an Effective To Date set, and you run the Benefits Re-Calculate Plans task with the As of Date on the first of the plan year or later, Dayforce creates a new benefit record and ends the active election one day before you ran the Benefits Re-Calculate Plans task. The employee and employer amounts are calculated based on the contribution or deferral period designated, the number of pay periods in the new plan year and the associated deduction schedule.

Replaced the Do you use tobacco products? checkbox with a drop-down list for mobile and web enrollments. In the Personal Information screen of the enrollment, you must select the Yes or No option in the drop-down list. Dayforce creates a health and wellness record with the selected tobacco status and the effective start date as the event date of the enrollment.
