Added the ability to monitor and correct pay date discrepancies for non-committed pay calendars in Pay SetupPay Group. To support this update, the Validate button was added to the toolstrip in the Pay Calendars tab. This functionality can help identify issues with dates in non-committed pay periods, such as duplicate or shifted pay dates, so that you can avoid payroll commit issues. When Dayforce detects an issue with the pay calendar, it generates an error and describes the issue in the Problems panel.

Further, a new background job was added in System Admin > Background Jobs to support pay calendar validation functionality in Pay Setup. The new Validate Pay Calendar Dates background job notifies administrators when Dayforce detects issues with pay calendar dates. It is recommended that you schedule this job to run daily after the site-level Pay Group Calendar Generator background job to validate the pay calendar dates generated by the application.

For more information, see the following topics in the Dayforce Implementation Guide:

  • “The Pay Calendars Tab”
  • “Validate Pay Calendar Dates”

Before You Begin: This feature is available only to users who have the Dayforce Industry Solution (DIS) integration between Dayforce and DataFuZion (Fuze).

Added the ability to enable the Dayforce Industry Solution (DIS) integration between Dayforce and DataFuZion (Fuze) so that the Industry Solution (IS) rate can be provided by DataFuZion to Dayforce. To support this functionality, the Apply IS Rate rule has been added to Pay Setup > Pay Policy. When this rule is added to a pay policy, Dayforce receives the IS rate and updates the pay summary records in Timesheets.

For more information, see “Apply IS Rate Rule” in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.

Added the ability to assign a status reason to minimum wage records. To support this functionality, the following updates were made in Dayforce:

  • The Status Reason column was added in Pay Setup > Minimum Wages. Click the Status Reason field to open a drop-down list containing reason options for status changes. This drop-down list contains options that are derived from your employment status reason configuration in HR Admin > Employment Status Reason. All status reasons configured with the Compensation Change checkbox selected appear in the Status Reason drop-down list in Pay Setup > Minimum Wages.
  • The Minimum Wage Update status reason was added in HR Admin > Employment Status Reason. This is a system-generated status reason that can’t be updated and is configured with the Compensation Change checkbox selected.

Now, after you assign status reasons to your minimum wage records in Pay Setup > Minimum Wages, you can run the Employee Minimum Wage Update background job to reconcile these status reasons. After the background job runs, Dayforce updates your employees’ statuses in their employee profiles in People if they are eligible for a new minimum wage rate. When the job detects eligibility, it updates the Reason field in the Employment > Employment, Compensation and Policy Settings screen of their employee profiles, in the Employment Status tab.

As a part of this update, all existing minimum wage records will be assigned the Minimum Wage Update status reason by default.

Additionally, to support this update, the Status Reason filter was added to the filter panel in Pay Setup > Minimum Wages.

For more information, see “Configure Minimum Wage” in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.

Added the ability to set a limit on pay adjustment pay codes to prevent managers or employees from accidentally overpaying themselves or their subordinates. Previously, Dayforce didn’t have the ability to place thresholds on amount-based and time-based pay adjustments that were created with certain pay codes. Now, the Pay Code Group screen has been updated to include the following settings in the Edit Access > Current section:

  • Amount General Limit
  • Minute General Limit
  • Amount Self Limit
  • Minute Self Limit

Additionally, to support this functionality, the following problem categories were added:

  • Pay Adjustment amount limit exceeded
  • Pay Adjustment minutes limit exceeded

Note: For this functionality to work, at least one pay code group has to be set up with limits and assigned to the employee. Further, the above problem categories need to be enabled in the Problem Configuration tab in Pay Setup > Punch Policy.

For more information, see “Configure Pay Code Groups” and “Punch Policy Problem Validation Library” in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
