Added the Development Plans feature to Dayforce, which allows you to create and manage development plans for yourself and your employees (if you're a manager or administrator). This new feature collects all of your development plans, including those that were created in the Performance and Succession Plans features, in one place for your convenience.
You can create development plans in Dayforce for a variety of reasons. For example, you might create a development plan to track your own career development, or your manager might create a plan to help you improve your performance.
Development plans can include one or more activities to help identify the specific tasks that are needed to succeed. These activities act as a to-do list for the plan and can make it easier to track the plan progress. If your organization uses the Dayforce Learning feature, you can also add a course or learning plan to each of these activities to advance progress towards the plan goals.

As part of this update, the Development Plan Setup feature was also added. This feature allows administrators to configure the fields and purposes that are shown for development plans throughout Dayforce.

Notes:
- Plans created in Performance are displayed in the Development Plans feature for your reference only. When you click one of these plans, it opens in the Development Plans tab of Performance, rather than in the Development Plans feature.
- Plans created in Performance use the settings configured in Performance Setup > Development Plan Setup, rather than those configured in the Development Plan Setup feature.
Role feature access
Go to System Admin > Roles and, in the Features tab, select the following features and sub-features, as needed:
- Development Plans: Provides access to the Development Plans feature.
- Add Plans: Provides access to the Add plans button, which allows users to create development plans.
- My Plans: Provides access to the My plans tab in which employees can view their own development plans.
- Team Plans: Provides access to the Team plans tab in which managers and administrators can view development plans for their employees.
- Development Plan Setup: Provides access to the Development Plan Setup feature.
- Plan Configuration: Provides access to the Plan Configuration tab in which you can specify the fields that are displayed and the fields that are required when creating or editing development plans throughout Dayforce.
- Purpose: Provides access to the Purpose tab in which you can configure the options displayed in the Purpose field of the plan details.
