Added the ability to associate life and disability plan options with a tier. This functionality applies only to life and disability plans with the Accident Insurance and Critical Illness plan sub-types. To support this functionality, the following were added in Benefits Setup > Plans and Options:

  • The Accident Insurance plan sub-type was added for the Life & Disability plan type.
  • The Tiers tab was added for life and disability plans with the Critical Illness plan sub-type.

You can associate the Accident Insurance and Critical Illness plan options with any of the following tiers at the plan or the plan option level:

  • Employee
  • Employee & Spouse/Legal Partner
  • Employee & Child(ren)
  • Employee & Family
  • Employee & 1 Child
  • Employee & 1 Dependent
  • Employee & 2 Dependents
  • Employee & 3 Dependents
  • Employee & 4 Dependents
  • Employee & 5 Dependents
  • Employee & 1 or more Dependents
  • Employee & 2 or more Dependents

The tier you select at the plan level in the Tiers tab updates the tier at the plan option level in the Participant Definition tab and the other way around.

Added the Subject to Dependent Verification checkbox for reimbursement plans in the General tab of Benefits Setup > Plans and Options. This checkbox shows for reimbursement plans with the following plan sub-types:

  • Health Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Health Reimbursement Account
  • Health Savings Account
  • Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account

The checkbox does not show for reimbursement plans with the following plan sub-types:

  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Parking
  • Transportation
