We’re excited to introduce the Mass Global Property Changes wizard. It’s a powerful tool that’s designed to streamline the assignment of global property values to employees in selected countries. Users can now import global properties in a single step, reducing the need for multiple imports and significantly decreasing implementation time and effort. This enhancement aims to improve efficiency and simplify your workflow, offering faster and more streamlined global property management.
The Mass Global Property Changes wizard is available for projects that have completed the Getting Started phase and have an employee population in at least one of the supported countries, with the necessary Dayforce configuration in place. You can access this wizard under Change Employee Data, located directly below the Mass Employee Compensation Changes wizard.
For In-Flight Projects:
Users can enable this wizard using the following steps:
In Activate:
- Use the Manage Countries wizard to add the required countries into Dayforce.
- Use the Pay Group Editor wizard to add pay groups and assign the relevant countries.
In Dayforce:
- Under System Admin/Client Properties:
- Make sure that Global Country Administration is enabled.
- Add the required countries to the Integrated Countries section.
- Enable the required global properties for the specific countries under HR Admin/Global Properties.
Important: As of this release, this wizard supports the following countries only:
Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Hong Kong, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, Viet Nam.
When countries are added in Dayforce in the future, they’ll be available in Activate immediately.
On this page, users can see a list of the countries that are enabled in their Dayforce instance. The wizard can only be run for one country’s global properties at a time. When loading global properties for multiple countries, the user must execute subsequent installs of this wizard. Users can load or mass assign multiple global properties as long as they all belong to the same country in a given run of this wizard. For instructions on enabling countries in Dayforce, see the previous steps.
The Global properties list changes based on the country selected in the first question, and on the properties that were enabled in your Dayforce instance. If you don’t see a global property in the list, it was likely not enabled in Dayforce. For instructions on enabling global properties in Dayforce, see previous steps.
This wizard supports loading multiple global properties per country. It also provides the flexibility to set the effective start date for these changes, either by selecting from specific predefined dates or selecting a custom date.
Users can use the quick assign options. If default values for any global properties were selected in their Dayforce instances, these values automatically show in the list shown in Activate. Otherwise, users must select these values manually from the drop-down lists.
If the values differ for each employee, users can click Specify values for each selected employee. This option enables users to download an Excel file with the targeted employees and global properties, then adjust the values in the file, and upload it when ready.
Upon successful installation, users can access the uploaded data in Dayforce under the People Screen > Employee Profile > Employment > Global Properties.
