The Third Party Payees wizard simplifies the process of uploading third-party payee details. These payees can be accounts, organizations, or companies that receive payments for employees, like pension funds or benefit providers. By automating this task, the wizard eliminates manual data entry, significantly boosting efficiency. This functionality is accessible for projects with employee groups in Australia and New Zealand, tailored to regional payroll requirements.
The wizard is available to all projects that have completed Getting Started with a population in Australia or New Zealand. The wizard is accessible under Build Dayforce, and is located directly below the WFM to Payroll Mapping Wizard.
Important:
The wizard doesn’t support the following payee categories:
- Australian Taxation Office
- Self-Managed Superannuation Fund
- Default Superannuation Scheme
- Superannuation Scheme
Important: Users can’t use this wizard to create payee categories. Payee categories must be set up ahead of time.
Users can download a data template that includes comprehensive instructions. This template gathers the essential and additional fields needed by Dayforce for Third Party Payees data. Users can access the new data template in the wizard or with the Download All Templates page, which is accessible from the Profile menu in the top-right corner of the page.
After the data is loaded, it’s immediately accessible in an editable grid in Activate. Users can make direct edits in the grid or download the data template, apply the required modifications, and upload the updated data.
When editing in the grid, Activate instantly shows any resulting validation warnings or errors. If any warnings or errors are shown, it’s important that you examine the data thoroughly and correct it by either updating the data directly in the grid or by correcting the data in the template and uploading the information again.
After a successful installation, you can easily access the configured settings by going to Payroll Setup > Third Party Payees in Dayforce.
