Controls how Dayforce shows schedule durations for employee roles in Work > Calendar on days that they also have approved time away from work (TAFW). Select one of these two options:
|
- Authorize on Shift Details Page: Users can authorize and unauthorize shifts from the shift details slide-out panel.
- Bidding Calendar: Enables the Bidding Calendar View. When this feature is enabled, users can switch to the Bidding Calendar View in the top left corner of the screen to see information about vacation bidding sessions. When this view is set, employees can review when vacation bidding periods begin and end, how many vacation requests can be granted per day, and the probability that a vacation bid request will be granted on any particular day, among other details.
- Bidding Completed: Users can manually close their bidding window in sequential vacation bidding sessions. When this role feature is assigned, Dayforce shows the Bidding Completed option in the actions list after an employee clicks on an eligible vacation date during their bidding window. Assigned users can click the Bidding Completed option to manually end their bidding window and activate the next employee’s bidding window in the sequence.
- Pending Request List: Users can view pending vacation bids made by other employees in their vacation bidding group, when available. When users select an eligible vacation day that other employees have bid on, Dayforce shows the View pending request list option in the actions list. Users can click this option to view the employees who have submitted bids and their rank in the bidding order.
- Note: The View pending request list option is available only during active submission rounds.
- Calendar Daily View: Enables the Calendar Day View which shows a daily calendar with worked time and scheduled time side-by-side.
- Calendar Monthly View: Enables the Calendar Month View which shows the calendar for the entire month, with the lowest level of detail of all of the view options.
- Calendar Rolling Week View: Enables the Rolling Week View. This view is similar to the Week View but it shows the current day highlighted in the middle of the calendar, with the three prior and future days shown as well.
- Calendar Weekly View: Enables the Week View which shows your work details across the week, with a static first day of the week.
- Duration Timesheet: Users can view their duration timesheet in a slide-out panel when they click a calendar cell and select View details > Shift details in the actions list. Depending on your role configuration, the slide-out panel might not show duration timesheets. See Shift Details in Work > Calendar.
- Important: Under Duration Timesheet, you shouldn’t enable both the Approve and Submit role features. These features don’t function together and you must decide whether to use one or the other in the timesheet slide-out panel, or neither.
- Approve: Users can approve their timesheets in Work > Calendar.
- Copy from default: Users can create new timesheets by copying the default timesheet.

- Manually Link and Unlink Schedules: Users can manually link and unlink worked time with scheduled shifts.
- Submit: Users can submit and lock their timesheets in the timesheet shift details view. Clicking the Submit button acts similarly to clicking the Authorize All button and then clicking Save, except that when users click Submit, Dayforce also locks the timesheet from further editing or adding new time segments.

- Meal Waivers: Enables the Waive Meals and Unwaive Meals buttons, which employees can use to waive the meal breaks that they're entitled to. Waiving meals can impact pay, depending on the pay rules configured in your instance of Dayforce. Enable this feature if your organization needs to track meal waivers for payroll purposes.

The panel also contains a Retros tab which includes information about changes made to the time and attendance records after the pay period was transmitted to payroll.

- If there is a scheduled shift, Dayforce uses the time zone that’s assigned to the org unit associated with the shift.
