WGEA Report Fields

The following table describes the fields of the WGEA Report:

WGEA fields
Field Description

Employee Number

Shows the employee's employee number. This is retrieved from the Employee Number field of the employment status record in the Employment Status tab of the Employment > Employment Settings screen in People.

Employing ABN

Shows the employer's Australian Business Number (ABN). This is retrieved from the Federal/Business ID Number column in Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Legal Entity for the legal entity of the employee's primary work assignment.

Occupational Category

Shows the employee's occupational category based on the ANZSCO (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations) minor group code. This is retrieved from the Occupational Category drop-down list in the Job Assignment tab of HR Admin > WGEA Report Configuration for the job assignment of the employee's primary work assignment.

Manager Category

(Only applicable for managers) Shows the employee's manager category based on the WGEA’s standard occupational categories for managers. This is retrieved from the Manager Category drop-down list in the Job Assignment tab of HR Admin > WGEA Report Configuration for the job assignment of the employee's primary work assignment.

Gender

Shows the employee’s gender. This is retrieved from one of the following settings in the Gender section of the Personal > Confidential Information screen of People, in the following priority:

  1. The Gender Identity field.
  2. If the Gender Identity field isn't set, the value in the Assigned Sex field is used.

Graduate/Apprentice

Shows whether the employee is a graduate or apprentice, if applicable. This is retrieved from the Graduate/Apprentice drop-down list in the Job Assignment tab of HR Admin > WGEA Report Configuration for the job assignments of the employee's primary work assignment.

Employment Status

Shows whether the employee is full-time, part-time, or casual. This reflects the option selected for the employee's pay class in HR Admin > WGEA Report Configuration, in the Pay Class tab, in the WGEA Employment Status column.

Employment Type

Shows the employee's employment type (for example, permanent/ongoing employee). This reflects the option that was selected for the employee's position term in HR Admin > WGEA Report Configuration, in the Position Term tab, in the WGEA Employment Type column. If position terms aren't used, it reflects the option selected for the employee's pay class in the Pay Class tab, in the WGEA Employment Type column.

Year Of Birth

Shows the employee's birth year.

Postcode

Shows the postcode of the location associated with the employee's primary work assignment. If the work assignment is virtual, the application uses the postcode of the employee's home address.

Industry Class

Shows the employee’s Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC). This is retrieved from the Industry Classification drop-down list in the Job Assignment tab of HR Admin > WGEA Report Configuration for the job assignments of the employee's primary work assignment.

Ordinary Hours

Shows the employee's fortnightly hours. The application calculates this by multiplying the employee’s normal weekly hours by two. Normal weekly hours are retrieved from the Normal Weekly Hours field of the employment status record in the Employment Status tab of the Employment > Employment Settings screen in People.

Employee Start Date

Shows the date that the employee started working with the organization. This is derived from the Most Recent Hire Date field in the Key Information tab of the Employment > Employment Settings screen of People.

Base Salary (Pro-rata)

Shows the employee's base salary for hours worked. The application only counts totals for earnings that have the following configured in the Earnings tab of Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions:

  • In the Tax and Compliance tab, the earning must be assigned the system Salary tax and compliance code for Australia. This code has a reference code of AUS Salary.
  • In the General tab, the Pay Entry Rates checkbox must be selected.

Base Salary (Fixed)

Shows the employee's base salary for fixed amounts like a bonus. Dayforce only counts earnings that have the following configured in the Earnings tab of Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions:

  • In the Tax and Compliance tab, the earning must be assigned the system Salary tax and compliance code for Australia. This code has a reference code of AUS Salary.
  • In the General tab, the Pay Entry Rates checkbox must be cleared.

OTE (Pro-rata)

Shows the employee's ordinary time earnings (superable earnings) for hours worked. The application only counts totals for earnings that have the following configured in the Earnings tab of Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions:

  • In the Tax and Compliance > Australia tab, the Superannuation checkbox must be selected.
  • In the General tab, the Pay Entry Rates checkbox must be selected.

OTE (Fixed)

Shows the employee's ordinary time earnings (superable earnings) for fixed amounts like a bonus. The application only counts totals for earnings that have the following configured in the Earnings tab of Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions:

  • In the Tax and Compliance > Australia tab, the Superannuation checkbox must be selected.
  • In the General tab, the Pay Entry Rates checkbox must be cleared.

Super

Shows the total superannuation paid by the employee. The application only counts totals for deductions that have the Superannuation contribution funds checkbox selected in the Tax and Compliance > Australia tab in the Deductions tab of Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions.

Allowances Shows the total allowances paid to the employee. The application only counts totals for earnings that have an option selected in the Allowances drop-down list of the Tax and Compliance > Australia tab in the Earnings tab of Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions.

Fringe Benefits

Shows the total fringe benefits paid to the employee. The application only counts totals for earnings that have the Fringe Benefit Tax checkbox selected in the Tax and Compliance > Australia tab in the Earnings tab of Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions.

ESS

Shows the employee share scheme payments for the employee. The application counts the total for the system Employee Salary Sacrifice - Superannuation deduction.
