View the Status of DF Link Transmissions

Before You Begin: To view the status of DF Link Transmissions in Dayforce, the Integrations > Data Export Setup > DF Link File Tracker role feature must be configured in the Features tab of System Admin > Roles.

In Integrations > Data Export Setup > DF Link File Tracker, you can view the status of configured export files that have been transmitted through DF Link to a target vendor.

The DF Link File Tracker displays all export file types that are routed directly through DF Link. The export file types are as follows:

  • Benefits Data Export files
  • Payroll Data Export files
  • HR Data Export files
  • Integrations > Export Definitions and Pay Setup > Pay Group > Export Configurations exports that are transmitted using an export option that is set up with the Generate Dayforce Link headers enabled. This includes the following:
  • HR Export
  • Benefits Carrier Export
  • Pay Run Data Export
  • Payroll GL Export

To view the status of DF Link transmissions, go to Integrations > Data Export Setup > DF Link File Tracker.

DF Link File Tracker in Data Export Setup.

The DF Link File Tracker screen displays only those files that were successfully transmitted to the US DF Link server. Any exports that aren’t routed through US DF Link won’t be visible in the DF Link File Tracker. Also, any exports that are routed through US DF Link and the Dayforce SAS system will be visible, however the transmission status in the tracker will only reflect what happened in the US DF Link server.

The following columns are displayed in the DF Link File Tracker screen:

  • Load Date: The date and time that the source file was exported from Dayforce and loaded into DF Link.
  • Sent Date: The date and time that the delivery file generated from DF Link was sent to a target system (for example, benefits carrier, client HR system, etc.).
  • Status: The DF Link transmission status of the export file. The status can be one of the following: Completed, In Progress, and Error.
  • Producer: The Producer ID for the export file (for example, DFTEST1, DFPROD1, etc.).
  • Recipients: The recipient/receiver ID for the export file setup under the applicable export configuration.
  • Source File Name: The file name of the source file (that is, the file exported from Dayforce to DF Link).
  • Delivery File Name: The file name of the delivery file (that is, the file exported from DF Link to target system after transformation, encryption, etc.).
  • Correlation ID: A unique file transmission identifier created for each export.
