Veteran Status (US)

For employees based in the United States, Dayforce tracks veteran status to support reporting requirements for federal contractors and subcontractors under VEVRAA (Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974). For more information, see the Department of Labor website: https://www.dol.gov/agencies/vets/programs/vets4212.

Role feature access: Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Personal > Confidential Information > Veteran Status

Role authorization access: Employee Profile - Confidential Information - Veteran Status and Employee Personal Information

You can view, edit, or add an employee’s veteran status in the Veteran Status section of the Personal > Confidential Information screen in People.

Dayforce also shows and allows you to view, edit, or delete veteran status that has been added to Dayforce through other methods, including the following:

  • Employees can complete the Confidential Information form in self-service. See Confidential Information Form.
  • In the Recruiting module of Dayforce, you can send candidates an email invitation to complete the Post Offer Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) form. See Post Offer VEVRAA Form in the Recruiting Guide.
  • Your organization can add this information to Dayforce through the HR Import. See “US Confidential Information” in the HR Import Specification document.
