Validate Benefits Decision Support Configurations

Dayforce automatically validates decision support configurations when you save them, however, you can validate all of the properties of a configuration before you've saved it. This can be helpful whether you are adding a configuration or editing an existing one. You can validate only one configuration at a time.

Note: Dayforce cannot validate for overlapping effective dates until you have saved a configuration.

To validate a decision support configuration:

  1. Go to Benefits SetupBenefits Decision Support.
  2. In the left sidebar, select the decision support configuration that you want to validate.
  3. Click Validate in the toolstrip. If problems occur with the configuration, a red invalid icon () shows next to the configuration in the left sidebar, and Dayforce shows messages about these problems in the Problems panel.
  4. After you've resolved the issues shown in the Problems panel, click Save. Dayforce runs validation again, and if the problems are resolved, the configuration is saved. If problems continue to occur, the Please Confirm dialog box shows.
  5. In the dialog box, click either Ignore and Save to save the configuration with problems, or Cancel to continue working on the problems. If you ignore problems and save anyway, the configuration continues to show up as invalid, and the plan options in that configuration aren't included in decision support in the enrollment.
