Vacation Bidding

Enables the Vacation Bidding feature, where administrators and managers configure and review vacation bidding sessions.

Vacation Bidding Subfeatures

  • Always access to Remove Bid: Assign this feature and the Remove Bid button is always available in vacation bidding requests for the assigned roles, regardless of the state of the request. This role feature is intended for administrators who should always have access to remove bid requests.
  • When this role feature is unassigned, the Remove Bid button only appears in vacation bidding requests that are in certain states of approval.
  • Bidding Dashboard: Enables the Bidding Dashboard subfeature of Vacation Bidding, where managers can view the details of vacation bidding sessions.
    • Approve Round: Enables the Approve Round button in the Bidding Dashboard subfeature. When manual approval is configured for a vacation bidding session, click the Approve Round button to approve the selected vacation bidding round.
    • Note: Depending on the status of the round, the Approve Round button might be grayed out and unavailable.
    • Reprocess: Enables the Reprocess button in the Bidding Dashboard subfeature. Click the Reprocess button and Dayforce runs the Vacation Bidding Session Processing background job to recalculate sessions that have errors.
    • Void Round: Enables the Void Round button in the Bidding Dashboard subfeature. Click the Void Round button and Dayforce voids the selected vacation bidding round.
    • Note: Depending on the status of the round, the Void Round button might be grayed out and unavailable. For example, you can’t void a round that was processed and approved.
  • Vacation Bidding Sessions: Enables the Vacation Bidding Sessions subfeature of Vacation Bidding, where users create and edit vacation bidding sessions.
    • Reorder Employees: Enable this feature to allow roles to rearrange employee bidding orders in the Vacation Bidding Session Wizard when configuring vacation bidding sessions.
    • Reprocess: Enables the Reprocess button in Vacation Bidding Sessions. Use the Reprocess button to recalculate sessions that have errors by rerunning the Vacation Bidding Session Processing background job.
