This background job updates the base rate for employees that have an active primary work assignment with a different pay rate or rate level than their base rate. When the job detects different rates, it automatically updates the employee’s base rate to the same value as the pay rate defined in their primary work assignment.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
No. Of Days From Today To Look Back | The number of days from the present day the background job looks back when determining if the base rate needs to be updated. |
No. Of Days From Today To Look Forward | The number of days from the present day the background job looks forward when determining if the base rate needs to be updated. |
Check the ‘Rate Level’ value |
Examine if the rate level value is different from the base rate. When the background job runs, it first looks for a rate value to compare the base rate with. If the job can't find a rate value, it then compares the base rate with the rate level value instead. If both a rate value and a rate level value are found, the higher of the two values is used. The rate and rate level can be configured in the employee’s profile, in the Rate and Rate Level fields in People in the Work > Work Assignments screen. |
