UK Stop Payment Method

You can define the method in which the application stops calculating a deduction or allowance when the employee is on sick leave or parental leave.

Before You Begin: In order for the application to use the stop payment method that you define for an allowance or deduction, the allowance or deduction needs to be marked as stopped within the settings of a payroll policy rule. Currently, the only rules that allow you to stop allowances and deductions are the Apply UK Parental Pay Rule and the Apply UK Sick Pay Rule. These rules have the following settings for this purpose: Regular Pay Eligible Earning, Regular Pay Ineligible Earning, Regular Pay Eligible Deduction, Regular Pay Ineligible Deduction. See Overview of Statutory Parental Pay for UK Employees and Statutory Sick Pay for UK Employees.

Note: This functionality is only applicable when statutory pay is generated in the Payroll module, and not for when statutory pay adjustments are generated via the WFM module.

This can include stopping the allowance or deduction outright, or allowing it in the current pay run and stopping it thereafter. For allowances, there are also options for calculating a prorated amount based on the period in which the employee is not on sick or parental leave during the pay run.
