Two-factor authentication (TFA) can be described as both "knowing" something and "having" something. A user must know their user name and password, and they must have a device that is registered to them. With two-factor authentication, Dayforce users log in to Dayforce as they normally would, and then they’re prompted to verify their identity using a device registered to them. This is especially useful for users who might have access to sensitive tasks like committing payroll. However, it can be enabled for any user. This functionality can also be used with the mobile app.
