The People Feature

The People feature is where you access and manage employee records. You can open People wherever you are in the application, rather than having to go to a specific feature.

To open People, click the people icon in the toolbar at the top right of the screen:

The People screen opens over the feature that you are currently using. The application lists the employees in a table, and you can use the filters at the top of the screen to search for the employee you want to load.

When you click an employee's name, the application opens the overview of their employee record. On the left side of the screen, a panel contains the individual features for managing the employee record.

The following example shows the Payroll heading in the sidebar with the Payroll Elections screen selected below it:

You can click the X at the top right of the screen to temporarily hide the People feature. If you return to the People feature during the same login session, the application restores what you were last working on, including unsaved changes.

For example, say you are creating a new entry in the Payroll Elections screen of People but you need to view the details of a deduction in Payroll Setup. In this case, you can leave People without saving the record, and when you return, the application still displays the unsaved record.
