This topic describes the options in the New Hire Reporting tab in Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup for US legal entities. General information about new hire reporting is available in Overview of New Hire Reporting.
Before You Begin: This topic applies to US legal entities only.
In Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Legal Entity, you can select a US legal entity and then set overrides for new hire reporting for that legal entity in the New Hire Reporting tab.
Option | Description |

Registered with HHS as a Multistate Employer |
Flags the legal entity as registered with HHS as a multi-state employer and activates the Designated State for Reporting drop-down list. |
Designated State for Reporting | Sets which state, from those in which the legal entity has employees, will be used as the state for reporting all employees. Active only if the Registered with HHS as a Multistate Employer checkbox is selected. |
Override Employer Address | Sets the override address for the employer to use when reporting new hires in the report for the legal entity. The options available are those you set up in System Admin > Client Properties, in the Addresses tab. Activates the option to set the address type for the employer override. |
Override Employer Address Type |
Sets the address type for the override you selected. Options are H - Headquarters Address or P - Payroll Address. Activates the option to set the contact for the employer override. |
Override Employer Contact |
Sets the contact name for the override you selected. The options available are those you set up in System Admin > Client Properties in the Contacts tab. |
