After you click a system-generated balance transaction source in the Table View tab in the Balance Events section, Dayforce opens the Detailed View tab. This tab shows how the application’s entitlement rule engine updated the employee’s balance for the selected balance transaction. It shows how the balance was processed and changed by specific rules and qualifiers in the employee’s entitlement policy:
The Detailed View tab is marked by the date of the balance transaction that you select. You can load multiple instances of the Detailed View tab to compare how the Dayforce entitlement engine calculated different balance transactions without having to reload data. To close a Detailed View tab, click Close Detail View.
This tab also contains an Employee Information section. This section is identical to the section of the same name in the Table View tab.
Role feature access: Pay Setup > Pay Setup > Entitlements > Entitlement Definitions
The Detailed View tab is divided into three main sections.

Balance Transactions Involving Multiple Entitlement Policies
In some cases, balance transactions might be affected by an entitlement policy change. When an employee’s entitlement policy changes in the middle of a balance period, their remaining balances and totals were still generated by their previous entitlement policy. These remaining balances become subject to the rules set up in their current entitlement policy. For example, the employee’s current entitlement policy can prorate grant-based balances that were generated by their previous entitlement policy.
When a balance transaction involves two entitlement policies, Dayforce shows the entitlement policy in red text with a question mark icon (). Hover your cursor over the icon and Dayforce shows a tooltip indicating that the transaction was generated by the current policy:
