The Cost Settings Tab

In the Cost Settings tab, you can associate KPI labor metrics with your KPIs to dictate how the Plan feature shows schedule and actual costing data in the Schedule and Actual columns. These KPI and KPI metric associations control what time contributes to labor cost and hours KPIs.

The schedule and actual costing estimates what a schedule would cost if every scheduled employee worked the times they were scheduled, taking into account the pay rules configured in Dayforce and applied to the employee’s pay policy.

Cost Settings tab settings

Setting	Description
KPI KPI Labor Metric	The KPI and KPI labor metric pairing that you want to configure for schedule costing.
Scheduled Cost	Dayforce uses the KPI labor metric’s eligible pay metrics for the KPI’s schedule cost.
Actual Cost	Dayforce uses the KPI labor metric’s eligible pay metrics for the KPI’s actual cost.
Cost In Hours (Instead of Amount)	Dayforce uses hours from the KPI labor metric’s eligible time for the KPI. This works only for KPIs that are measured in hours.
