The Bank Details Section in the Bank Accounts Tab



This section describes the Bank Details section in the Bank Accounts tab in Payroll Setup > Bank Accounts.

Most of the fields available to you in the Bank Details section vary depending on which country you selected in the Operating Country drop-down list in the General section, but there are a few common ones, which are described in the following table.

Fields in Bank Details that are common to all banks

Field	Description
Bank Contact Name	The name of the primary contact at the financial institution.
Bank Phone Number	The phone number of the financial institution.
Bank Fax Number	The fax number of the financial institution.
Address	The main address information of the financial institution.
Address Line 2	The supplemental address information.
Address Line 3	Additional supplemental address information.
City	The city where the financial institution is located.
State	The state where the financial institution is located.
Zip / Postcode	The ZIP or postal code where the financial institution is located.

Australia

Fields in Bank Details that are specific to Australian banks

Field	Description
BSB Code	The six-digit bank BSB code that is used to identify the branch of the financial institution of the account.
Account Number	Bank account number.
Bank Name	Read-only field that shows the name of the financial institution when you enter a recognized BSB Code in the BSB Code field.
Client Identification Name	The identification name used by the bank to identify this user.
Client Identification Number	The identification number used by the bank to identify this user.
Include Self Balancing Transaction	Adds an additional self-balancing transaction to the end of the ABA file, which is required by some financial institutions when generating the ABA files. Contact your financial institution to determine if this checkbox should be selected.
Transaction Negotiation Authority Bank	Three letter bank name of the payroll bureau that is used in the ABA file.

Canada

Fields in Bank Details that are specific to Canadian banks

Field	Description
Institution Number	The unique three-digit code that identifies the financial institution.
Branch Number	Five-digit branch transit number.
Account Number	Bank account number.
Institution Name	Read-only field that shows the name of the financial institution when you enter a recognized institution number and branch number.

Ireland

Fields in Bank Details that are specific to banks in Ireland

Field	Description
BIC	Bank Identifier Code (BIC) to identify the financial institution.
IBAN	International Bank Account Number (IBAN) to identify the financial institution.
Bank Name	Read-only field that shows the name of the financial institution when you enter a recognized code in the BIC field.

Mauritius

Fields in Bank Details that are specific to banks in Mauritius

Field	Description
Banks	The name of the bank.
Account Number	Bank account number.
Branch	The bank branch of the financial institution of the account.
Client Identification Name	The unique customer ID that the bank provides when creating a bank account. This ID is pulled in a tag of the XML disbursement file for customers using HSBC bank for disbursement of salaries.

New Zealand

Fields in Bank Details that are specific to banks in New Zealand

Field	Description
Bank Branch Code	The six-digit bank branch code of the financial institution of the account.
Account Number	Bank account number.
Bank Name	Read-only field that shows the name of the financial institution when you enter a recognized routing number in the Bank Branch Code field.

Singapore

Fields in Bank Details that are specific to Singapore banks

Field	Description
Bank Code	The four-digit number that uniquely identifies the bank.
Branch Code	The three-digit number that identifies the banking branch.
Account Number	Bank account number.
Swift Code	The bank's SWIFT code.

USA

Fields in Bank Details that are specific to US banks

Field	Description
Routing Number	The bank routing code number of the financial institution.
Account Number	Bank account number.
Bank Name	Read-only field that shows the name of the financial institution when you enter a recognized routing number in the Routing Number field.

UK

Fields in Bank Details that are specific to UK banks

Field	Description
Sort Code	The six-digit sort code that identifies the bank and branch of the account.
Account Number	Bank account number.
Building Society Number	The building society roll number of a building society account.
