To view or create tax compliance rules for earnings, go to Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions, click the Tax Compliance Rules tab, and then click Earning. Select the earning that you want to configure to view its details.
Note: The Earning button is also known as Allowance for users who have selected English (United Kingdom) as their Culture/Language preference.

| Process for Employment | Drop-down list with the following three options (no selection defaults to the Regular Payroll option): Contractor Payroll, Pensioner Payroll, Regular Payroll. |
| Reference Code | Field for the cross-reference (XREF) code. Cross-reference codes are used in exports and imports to integrate into other applications and systems used by your organization. Cross-reference codes can also help you identify the different elements in the application in the scripts and processes that export your organization's data from Dayforce. |

Checkbox to indicate the rule is being used for employees in a specific country. When a checkbox is selected, a sub-tab named after the selected country is displayed. This sub-tab contains additional tax settings to set up the earning for that country's payroll. More than one country can be selected for the same rule. Only countries that are currently supported in Dayforce display their country's sub-tabs when selected. |
