Tax Authority

When you select the ZZ - Canadian Beyond Provinces or US - Canadian Beyond Province option for a non-Quebec employee's tax status record, and you calculate their pay, Dayforce adds the 10180000 15 Fed Tax tax authority to the employee's tax definitions.

For Quebec employees, Dayforce adds the standard CPP, EI, and EI-ER tax authorities, plus the above mentioned 10180000 15 Fed Tax tax authority. You can review these tax authorities in People by loading the employee's record, clicking Payroll > Tax Definitions in the sidebar, and then scrolling to the Employee Payroll Tax section.

Under the Employee Payroll Tax feature, 4 Federal Tax items are highlighted with each labelled as either employee tax or employer tax, and the last item Province Tax is selected.

The tax authorities are also displayed in Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Legal Entity when you select the employee’s legal entity and then click the Tax Authorities tab.
