TAFW Apply Restriction Rule

The TAFW Apply Restriction Rule restricts the number of times a specific time away request can be applied. You can configure this rule with the maximum number of times a time away request can be applied per balance period, employment, month, or year. For example, you can use this rule to limit users to request one bereavement leave per balance period. When users try to submit a time away request that exceeds the limit configured in the rule, a validation error message is shown.

Setting Description
TAFW Pay Codes Eligible The pay codes that the rule restricts the number of time away requests for.
TAFW Pay Codes Ineligible The pay codes that the rule doesn't restrict the number of time away requests for.
Maximum Times Allowed The number of times the eligible time away request can be applied. The value entered in this field must be an integer and greater than 0.
Restriction Period Type

The period within which the number of times configured in the Maximum Times Allowed field applies. The following options are available:

  • Per Balance Period
  • Per Employment
  • Per Month
  • Per Year

For example, if you enter 2 in the Maximum Times Allowed field and select the Per Month option in the Restriction Period Type drop-down list, the time away requests for the eligible pay codes are restricted from being applied more than twice per month. If you try to submit a time away request a third time in the same month for those pay codes, a validation error message is shown.

Validation Severity The severity level that’s included in the validation error message. The options are Informational and Critical.
