In System Admin > Data Management Center, in the System/Company Management tab, you can view and update retention policies for system- and company-level data. These policies help you to remove personal data from Dayforce that isn’t associated with an employee record, such as background job information and documents. The system and data policies run nightly if they’re enabled. Because they’re site-level background jobs, you cannot see the background jobs themselves in Dayforce, but you can see some details in the Log subtab. See Download System and Company Data Retention Policy Job Log Entries.
You can edit the retention periods for some of the system and company policies. You can also enable and disable some of the policies. Some policies have fixed retention periods that can’t be edited, and some can’t be enabled and disabled. Whether a policy is editable is based on factors such as the volume of data of that type that is typically stored, the possible impact on Dayforce performance, and business or functional needs for the data.
