Dayforce shows the Entitlement Override Date field in the Key Information tab of the Employment > Employment Settings screen in People. Dayforce uses the Entitlement Override Date field to determine employee eligibility by date and the recurrence start point for entitlements. For example, you would enter the first day of the quarter that the employee was hired if an entitlement needs to recur on this day each year.
Entitlement Override Date is available as an option in the following areas of Pay Setup > Entitlements:
- In the Entitlements tab, in the Start Date field of the Employee Date Qualifier.
- In the Recurrences tab, in the Start Date Type field for recurrence records.
There’s also a field called Entitlement Seniority Date that can be added as a system employee property in the Employment > Employee Properties screen of People. It’s used for a similar purpose as the Entitlement Override Date field. However, it can't be referenced in entitlement configuration in the same way. The Entitlement Seniority Date field doesn’t impact the Entitlement Override Date field. Each field is separate from the other. Customers who have Entitlement Seniority Date defined as an employee property can also define the Entitlement Override Date field to take advantage of its functionality.
