Set Up Balance Cascades

For this functionality to work, the previous vacation balance must be configured to cascade to the current vacation balance. This means that when the employee runs out of previous vacation balance, Dayforce starts deducting from their current balance.

To configure this cascade:

  1. Go to Pay Setup > Balances and click the Balances tab.
  2. In the sidebar, select the Previous Vacation balance.
  3. In the Cascades section, click Add.
  4. In the Cascade To drop-down list, select the Current Vacation balance:

  6. Click Save.
