Sections and Elections

In the Sections/Elections tab, you define the benefit options that employees can choose in the plan selection screens of the guided enrollment process. Expand the details of a section and election set in the sidebar to see which options are included:

You can use Move Up and Move Down to change the order in which Dayforce shows sections and election sets during the employees’ guided enrollment process. Dayforce validates the section order changes for the Mobile and Web enrollment types based on the following factors:

Validation factors for section changes
Factor	Example
Plan option dependency	You cannot move Section A above Section B if Section A has a plan option dependency on any of the options in the option group of Section B.
Coverage dependency	You cannot move Section A above Section B if Section A has a coverage dependency on any of the options in the option group of Section B.
Remaining flex credits	(Canada Only) You cannot move the Remaining Flex Credit Allocations section above any other section that has a plan where flex credit benefits apply.
Bundles	You cannot move Section A above Section B if Section A has bundled options with a plan option dependency or coverage dependency on any of the options in the option group of Section B.

You cannot create new or remove existing sections for the Mobile and Web enrollment types.
