Review Cycles

Review cycles define the process, schedules and templates for performance reviews assigned to employees. This helps organizations maintain consistency in their performance management.

For each review cycle, you can define when users can see and start working on it, which employees are assigned to it, as well as which sections and steps are included and how the review is rated. After you finish setting up a review cycle, you need to publish it before employees can be assigned to it. Employees are assigned automatically or manually, depending on the type of review cycle.

You can define the set of review cycles that can then be assigned to different groups of employees in the Review Cycles tab of Performance Setup > Review Setup. This tab is divided into two sections. In the top section, Dayforce displays a list of existing review cycles. You can add a new cycle or configure an existing one using the Sections, Review Schedule, Peer Reviews, Approval Process, Employee Eligibility, and Assigned Employees sub-tabs in the bottom section of the screen.

Note: The Peer Reviews and Approval Process sub-tabs are only displayed if your user role is assigned the Peer Reviews and Performance Review Approval features under Performance Setup > Review Setup > Review Cycles in the Features tab of System Admin > Roles.
