Reset Original Rate for FLSA Overtime Rule

The Reset Original Rate For FLSA Overtime Rule can be used to reset the original rate used in the FLSA Overtime Rule. However, note that this rule needs to be placed before the FLSA Overtime Rule in the ruleset for it to work correctly. This rule is also useful when employers want the regular rate to calculate rates that have had a multiplier applied. For example, an employee who works for $20.00 per hour is paid $30.00 (1.5x) for working on a holiday. With this rule, the $30.00 holiday rate can be used to calculate the regular rate of pay.

Undo pay category multiplier Rolls back the default multiplier rate when it’s applied and isn’t zero. When this checkbox is cleared and the Specific rate to be set field is left empty, the rule sets the original rate to the current rate of the segment. This behavior is the same as using the Reset original rate checkbox in the Shift Premium Rule, Piece Rate Rule, and the Assign Pay Code Rule.
