If you want to add grouping or totals to a report that has a pivot table configured, you need to remove the pivot because grouping and totals aren’t compatible with pivot tables. When you remove a pivot from a report, all of the values that you configured in the Pivot Table dialog box are removed. If you want to save these values, you should save a copy of the report before you remove the pivot.
To remove a pivot table from a report:
- Go to Reporting and Analytics > Reporting > Classic Reports and open the report that has the pivot table that you want to remove.
- Click Pivot to open the Pivot Table dialog box.
- Click Remove Pivot.
- Click OK in the confirmation dialog box.
- Click Save.
- Note: When you save your changes, the pivot table is removed from the report. Any schedules associated with the pivot table in this report are disabled for all users. If you don’t click Save before closing the report, Dayforce discards your changes.
After you complete the steps above, the pivot table is removed from the report, and you can add grouping and totals to the base report. The Pivot table tab is no longer present in the report designer when you open that report.
