To record a job assignment and compensation change, you can submit a Job Assignment and Compensation Change form.
Before You Begin: For descriptions of specific fields in the form, see List of Job Assignment and Compensation Change Form Settings.
To submit a Job Assignment and Compensation Change form:
- Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Forms.
- Select the Job Assignment and Compensation Change form. Any fields that are already recorded in Dayforce are automatically populated.
- Select one of the effective date options to define when the updates in the form become effective:
- Today: (Default selection) Effective as of the day the form is submitted.
- Tomorrow: Effective as of the day after the form is submitted.
- As of: Enter the date that you want the change to be effective.
- Update settings in the following sections as needed:
- Work Assignment: The details of the employee's primary work assignment.
- Manager Assignment: The employee's direct manager.
- Pay and Rates: The details of the employee's employment status record.
- In the Compensation Changes section, you can view graphical illustrations of the employee's compensation timeline, or a peer comparison of their compensation. To move between graphs, click the tab displaying the graph name.
- To update the employee's compensation, select the change type:
- Change Total: Select an option in the Reason drop-down list, enter the new salary or base rate in the Amount field.
- Change by Increment: Click Add and select an option in the Reason drop-down list. Select $ Amount or % Amount in the Change Type drop-down list and enter the increase amount in the Change Value field.
- In the Onboarding section, select an option in the Onboarding Policy drop-down list.
- Click Submit.
