Recalculate Efficiency Scores

This job can be run to store daily and weekly schedule efficiency (that is, coverage) scores, for locations and their zones, for tracking as a KPI. The KPI can be used in Plan and Operation View, and to create reports on schedule efficiency with the ad hoc reporting tool in Reporting and Analytics > Reporting > Reports. It can be used to track scores of individual stores or the average score of stores under an above store location (for example, to provide a district-wide schedule efficiency score).

Before running this job:

  • Create a KPI for schedule efficiency. See KPIs and KPI Metadata.
  • Link a KPI to this background job by selecting the KPI in the KPI for Schedule Efficiency Score drop-down list in the Scheduling section of the Properties tab in System Admin > Client Properties. See Scheduling.

This job can be scheduled to run periodically or can be run on an ad hoc basis, and should be run regularly to keep the KPI up to date.

Recalculate Efficiency Scores job settings
Setting Description
Site The org unit that the background job provides data from.

Select an individual store to provide scores for just that store, or select an above-store org (for example, a district) to provide scores for all stores under the above-store org. The scores for all stores under the above store level can be used in other areas of Dayforce to provide an average score (for example, to provide an average district score).

Offset Start (Periods)
Length (Periods)
Taken together, these two fields define which weeks (that is, schedule periods) the background job provides data for:
  • In the Offset Start (Periods) field, enter a number that represents the number of weeks in the future that Dayforce starts providing data for (conversely, enter a negative number to begin providing data for weeks in the past).
  • In the Length (Periods) field, enter a number that represents the duration in number of weeks that Dayforce provides data for.

For example, to provide last week’s schedule efficiency data, enter -1 in the Offset Start (Periods) field and 1 in the Length (Periods) field.

Efficiency Score Types The efficiency score to run: Schedule, Actual, or Ideal.

After the background job runs, the efficiency score is available for reporting. For more information on configuring KPIs, see the following sections:
