Sick policies might be accrued based on the actual hours an employee has worked. This allows employers to prorate the sick accrual earned against the amount of time the employee has worked. Policies that prorate the accrual will define the ratio of worked hours to sick time earned (for example, 1 hour of sick pay for every 30 hours worked). This ratio is used in converting the actual hours worked to sick time earned.
Dayforce allows users to identify worked hours when awarding sick time earned through either payroll or timesheets.
