Pregnancy work ban leave is used when an employee can’t work for reasons related to their pregnancy. For example, health issues, work hardship, or night shifts.

A pregnancy work ban leave record can be linked to an existing maternity leave record. However, it can also be non-linked in the case where there is no regular maternity leave on file yet. For example, an employee might request pregnancy work ban leave before informing the employer of a pregnancy. See Add Linked Leave Records (Germany).
When you click Pregnancy Work Ban in the Reason drop-down list for a non-linked leave record, Dayforce removes the Estimated Return Date field from the Leave Details section, adds the Due Date field, and shows the following fields in the HR Information section:

Note: A warning message is shown if you save a leave with one of the doctor-confirmed types but don’t have a Yes in the Evidence Valid drop-down list.
