In Person Management > Policies tab, each country has the same set of policies with different retention periods and lengths.
Column Name | Description |
---|---|
Delete Enabled |
Select the checkboxes to enable both identification and deletion of data associated with each policy. On the next Identify and Delete mode run, Dayforce deletes the data that is outside the retention thresholds for the enabled policies for people who have been approved in the Person Management > Review And Approve tab. For example, in the previous screenshot, the Austria Recruiting policy checkbox is selected. The next time the background job runs in Identify and Delete mode, recruiting data for approved people in Austria will be removed. Note: Dayforce only shows checkboxes in this column for policies that can be enabled for deletion. Policies for some types of data and policies that have retention periods of 99 years don’t have checkboxes in this column. |
Identify Enabled |
Select the checkboxes to enable identification only of data associated with each policy. On the next Identify Only mode run, Dayforce identifies people who have data that has been stored for longer than the retention periods for the enabled policies. Identified people are shown in the list in the Review And Approve tab. Note: Dayforce only shows checkboxes in this column for policies that can be enabled for identification. Policies with retention periods of 99 years or more can’t be enabled because it’s assumed that no data would be older than 99 years. |
Type |
Shows the type of data that the policy applies to. The types of data are explained in more detail in Personal Data Overview. |
Status |
Shows whether the policy applies to data about employees with terminated or non-terminated employment statuses. This column is blank for recruiting policies because candidate records don’t have an employment status. |
Country |
Shows the country that the policy is associated with. |
Retention |
Shows the data retention length value for each policy. You can click the number and enter a new length. See Policies Tab Overview. |
Period |
Shows the unit of time used to measure the data retention threshold. You can click the value and select a new period from the drop-down list. See Policies Tab Overview. |
