If your organization uses the carrier feed export, you must set up carrier information in Benefits Setup > Plan Carriers. You can also add payee and contact information. For more information on the carrier feed settings, see XML/834 Exports.
Configuring plan carriers allow you to associate plans and options with the benefits provider. You can create as many carriers as necessary to meet your organization's needs. For example, in Company XYZ, health plans are given through Blue Cross, but life insurance is offered through State Farm. Both carriers are configured in Plan Carriers and associated with the appropriate benefit plans in Benefits Setup > Plans and Options. You can run the Benefit Plan Carriers report to view the details of all configured carriers. See "Benefit Plan Carriers" in the Ad Hoc Reporting Guide.
