Performance Goal Status

The Performance Goal Status notification lets users know when goals are overdue or at risk. There are two versions of the notification:

  • Performance Goal Status - Employee
  • Performance Goal Status - Manager

The application checks daily for any goals that have an At Risk or Overdue status, and then generates the corresponding notification.

When a goal has the At Risk status, Dayforce sends a notification to the employee and manager with the number of days until the goal is due.

When a goal has the Overdue status, Dayforce shows the number of days that goal is past due in the notification message.

If a user receives a notification and the progress on the goal hasn’t changed again since they received it, Dayforce won't resend the message. However, if the user changes the progress of a goal, but it remains At Risk or Overdue, Dayforce sends the user a new notification.

For example, on Monday, Nick has a goal that is 80% complete and has a status of Overdue, so Dayforce sends a notification. On Tuesday morning, the progress of the goal remains the same, so when Dayforce checks for Overdue or At Risk goals that morning, it doesn’t resend the message. That afternoon, Nick updates the progress to 90% complete, but the goal is still Overdue. On Wednesday morning, when Dayforce checks for Overdue or At Risk goals, it sends another notification.

For more information about goal risk status, see Monitor Goal Risk in the Performance Guide.

Note: The number of times per day that Dayforce checks for goals, and the times that these checks occur is controlled internally by Dayforce Support.
