The Percentage Of Scheduled Shift Worked Qualifier determines if employees qualify for the associated pay rule based on their percentage of work completed. You can specify the minimum and maximum percentage threshold that determines, for example, whether employees receive a premium for working overtime, or receive a penalty for working only a fraction of their shift.
For example, say an employee is scheduled for a shift from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a meal break included. The total length of their shift is 480 minutes. If the employee clocks in at 9:09 AM and clocks out at 4:45 PM, they have worked a total of 465 minutes, or 95% of their scheduled shift. You can configure this qualifier so that employees are ineligible for premiums calculated by the associated pay rule unless they work 100% of their shift.
