Pay Code Groups

Pay code groups control which pay codes a manager has access to assign. By default, users can assign any pay adjustment and employees can be assigned any pay adjustment. Pay adjustments are only restricted if Dayforce is configured to do so through pay code groups.

Additionally, thresholds can be placed on amount-based and time-based pay adjustments using the Amount General Limit, Minute General Limit, Amount Self Limit and Minute Self Limit fields. However, when configuring these fields, you need to ensure that at least one pay code group is set up with limits for this functionality to work. When no limits are assigned, the pay code is limitless. If the limit is supposed to be zero, then enter 0 in these fields. Otherwise, it will be treated as limitless. Additionally, if you assign several pay code groups to one employee, only the highest limit for the same pay code within these groups will be considered. The corresponding problem categories also need to be enabled in the Problem Configuration tab in Pay Setup > Time Entry Policy.
