PPACA

Enables the PPACA feature in the navigation panel. You can access the functions associated with complying with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including setting up PPACA calendars and override reasons, reviewing coverage and payroll information for employees enrolled in benefits, and generating required year end PPACA forms.

PPACA Subfeatures

Administration(US only): Enables the Administration subfeature in the navigation panel. You can review cost, coverage, and payroll information about employees enrolled in benefits plans.

Setup(US only): Enables the Setup subfeature in the navigation panel. You can configure Dayforce for PPACA administration in the subfeatures under PPACA Setup.

  • Calendar: Enables the Calendar subfeature in the navigation panel. You can configure PPACA calendars, which Dayforce uses in calculating employee PPACA eligibility.
  • Override Reason: Enables the Override Reason subfeature in the navigation panel. You can define reasons to override employees who don’t meet the PPACA full-time requirements for their associated calendar to full-time.

Year End Process(US only): Enables the Year End Process subfeature in the navigation panel. You can load a calendar year and complete the 1095-C and 1094-C forms that are required by the IRS to be filed annually in accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

  • Manage Legal Entity: Enables the Manage Legal Entity tab. You can record information on the legal entities that are included in the PPACA Year End. This information is used to generate the 1094-C form for each legal entity.
  • Manage Offered Coverage: Enables the Manage Offered Coverage tab. You can view, add, edit, or delete the offered coverage records of employees associated with the PPACA Year End.
  • Overview: Enables the Overview tab. Dayforce shows a summary of information on the PPACA Year End for the loaded year, including the status, the steps that must be taken to progress, and the filing deadline. It also shows information on the 1095-C Forms and 1094-C Forms.
