When you open the Payroll > Garnishments screen of People for a US employee, Dayforce shows a list of the employee's active garnishment records, if any. Active garnishments have a current or future effective date in the Effective From column and the checkbox selected in the Active column.

Only primary garnishment records are included in this list. The list also includes garnishment orders for arrears and fees that are associated with a primary garnishment order, which are nested within the details of the primary garnishment order.
You can select the checkbox next to the garnishment's name to select it. You can select one or more garnishments to perform actions on, such as delete or copy.
You can select the checkbox in the Active column to activate or deactivate a garnishment from being calculated. All of the other columns of the garnishment record are read-only.
You can click the garnishment record to expand and manage its details and click it again to collapse it. Dayforce shows a set of tabs for managing the garnishment, as illustrated in the following screenshot:
The tabs of a US garnishment order are described as follows:

Disposable Income | Define whether certain deductions or earnings are excluded from the garnishment calculation |
Arrears | Create and manage garnishment records for arrears that are associated with the garnishment order. This tab is only enabled for garnishments that allow arrears. See Garnishment Arrears for US Employees. |
Fees | Create and manage the fees that are associated with the garnishment order. This tab is only enabled for garnishments that allow fees. See Garnishment Fees for US Employees. |
Held Garnishments | Track the status of garnishment payments that your organization has retained from payments to the creditor. This tab is applicable for creditor garnishments only. Access to this feature is controlled by the Allow Garnishment Hold role feature under Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Payroll > Garnishments in the Features tab of System Admin > Roles. Attributes Column for US Employees
The list of garnishment orders for US employees includes the Attributes column to indicate when garnishments contain one or more arrears, fees; or for garnishments with the Creditor Garnishment type only, held amounts. You can hover over an icon to view its description, as shown in the following example:
The Attributes column can show the following icons:

Add Notes to Garnishments
You can add notes to garnishments. When you click Notes, a slide-out panel opens on the right side of the screen, where you can enter a title or comment, attach documents, and establish an associated date.
