As a requirement, the accept response from the last decision node in the workflow must pass through an observing class notification node. This node is named Observing Class Notification Approval in the preconfigured workflows.
The observing class notification node is available by default in the palette menu of the Diagram tab in Workflow Administration > Workflow Designer. In the properties of this node, you must select Performance Approval in the Observer class Type drop-down list.
Important: Failure to select Performance Approval causes the workflow to end in error.
When the workflow reaches this node (when the review form has been approved at all stages), Dayforce moves the review form to the next step in the review cycle. For example, a review has steps in the following order:
- Self review
- Manager review
- Approval process
- Employee signature
- Manager signature
In this case, Dayforce moves the review to the employee signature step.
Important: This node should only have one input connection (the accept response) and one output connection. You must only input the accept response to this node; inputting any other response will prevent Dayforce from moving the review to the next stage.
