You can configure subscriptions to system notifications in System Admin > System Notifications, in the Subscriptions tab. The Subscriptions tab lists notifications by Dayforce feature area:
The icons next to the name of each notification indicate which delivery channels are configured for that notification. If the icon is black, it means that the notification is delivered through that channel. If it’s gray, the notification isn’t delivered through that channel.

When you select a notification, the Subscriptions tab shows the item’s subscriptions in three sections:
- Subscribed Roles: Add and remove subscriptions to a notification by user role.
- Subscribed Users: Add and remove subscriptions to a notification for individual users.
- Excluded Users: Add and remove excluded users so that they don't receive notifications even if their user roles are subscribed.
You can add subscriptions to notifications by user role or by individual user. In the Excluded Users section, you can exclude individual users whose user roles are subscribed. For example, if your organization’s store managers need to receive Time Entry Exceptions notifications, add the Store Manager user role in the Subscribed Roles section. All users with the Store Manager user role receive the notification when an employee hasn’t clocked in for work. If another user who isn’t a store manager also needs to receive Time Entry Exceptions notifications, you can add them individually in the Subscribed Users section. Finally, if one store manager doesn’t need to receive the Time Entry Exceptions notifications, you can exclude them subscription in the Excluded Users section.
Non-Subscription Notifications
For privacy and security reasons, some notifications aren’t available through subscription and are sent only to affected employees.
An informational message is shown when you select this type of notification in System Admin > System Notifications, in the Subscriptions tab, as shown in the following example:
