When Dayforce has information to share with you, it checks your notification preferences and sends the information to you in your preferred format. Dayforce can send a notification in several ways:
- As a message that is shown in Message Center.
- As an email to your email address.
- As a text message over SMS to your cell phone.
- As a mobile push notification (provided your device is configured to receive mobile push notifications).
Role feature access: Profile > Profile Menu > Settings > Notifications
Dayforce sends SMS messages and emails only to employees who have the Alerts checkbox selected in the Contact Information dialog box. To access this dialog box:
- Go to Profile and click Personal > About Me.
- In the Contact Information section, click the edit icon (
).
If you want to stop receiving SMS messages from Dayforce, you can reply "STOP" to the message. When you reply "STOP," Dayforce clears the Alerts checkbox in the Contact Information dialog box in the Personal > About Me tab of Profile for the phone number. If you have more than one phone number associated with your Dayforce account, Dayforce continues to send SMS messages to those phone numbers until you either manually clear the Alerts checkbox or reply "STOP" from those numbers.
Dayforce can be configured to send any notification using one, some, or all of these methods. You can enable which alerts are sent to which roles in System Admin > System Notifications. See System Notifications Configuration.
The Notifications Tab in Profile
In Settings > Notifications, you can configure the notifications that you receive by selecting or clearing the checkboxes for each notification type. If you can't receive notifications using a particular method, Not Available appears in the column for the notification type.
To specify the notifications that you want to receive:
- Go to Profile and click Settings > Notifications.
- For each notification type, select or clear the Message Center, Email, Text Message, and Push to Mobile checkboxes.
- Click Save.
If information is missing from your profile, a message appears explaining the issue.
