The New Hire Income Stream Type Generation background job populates the Income Stream Type (IST) codes in the Employment > Employee Properties screen in People for each new employee. You can schedule this job to run at regular intervals.
The Australian Tax Office (ATO) requires these IST codes when you report all employee income using STP. Click Run to submit the background job to generate the IST codes automatically for new hires. You can run this job on a specific pay group basis by selecting the Paygroups drop-down list, or for all pay groups by selecting the Select All checkbox.
