Min Wage Split Pay Adjustment Rule

The Min Wage Split Pay Adjustment Rule allows administrators to assign pay codes and pay categories to tip pay adjustments, splitting them as necessary, when the amount exceeds the defined minimum wage threshold.

Important: To apply the Min Wage Split Pay Adjustment Rule, you must configure work assignments for employees. See Work > Work Assignments.

Min Wage Split Pay Adjustment Rule settings
Setting Description
Minimum Wage Level Select the minimum wage level to calculate the minimum wage threshold. The minimum wage values are set up in Pay Setup > Minimum Wages. Note that the rule follows a hierarchy when looking at the minimum wage in the order of Federal, State, City, and County. For example, if you select City in this field, but there isn't any city configured in Pay Setup > Minimum Wages, the rule will consider the state as that comes before it in hierarchy.
Paycode to assign The pay code to assign to the pay adjustment. When you split a pay adjustment, a new pay adjustment is created, and the existing pay adjustment amount is decremented by the same amount as the new pay adjustment amount.
Pay Category to assign The pay category to assign to the new adjustment. When you choose to split a pay adjustment, a new pay adjustment is created, and the existing pay adjustment amount is decremented by the same amount as the new pay adjustment amount.
