Meal / Break Overdue Alert

This job controls the Meal / Break Overdue notification. When run, the job checks if any employees haven’t taken their scheduled meal or break within a specified threshold. The job examines only employees who are “on the clock,” meaning that they’ve clocked in for the day, but haven’t clocked out.

Meal / Break Overdue Alert job settings
Setting Description
Min Threshold The minimum number of minutes an employee can be clocked in without taking a break or meal. Dayforce sends alert if the employee reaches this number of minutes.
Max Threshold The maximum time, in minutes, that the task examines. Clock entries that are longer in duration than the specified threshold aren't examined by the task. Dayforce stops sending the alert when the number of minutes an employee has been clocked in without taking a break or meal reaches the specified max threshold.
Time Entry Policy Id List The time entry policies to include in the background job. The background job examines an employee's clock entries for overdue meals or breaks only if they’re assigned to one of the selected time entry policies.
