Localization

In Dayforce, you can localize your organization's data, label/buttons, alert messages, and feature names. Dayforce automatically shows localized text in many areas, based on the user's language preferences (also called a culture setting). See Client Cultures.

Some areas of Dayforce aren't automatically translated, such as data created by users (for example, pay categories, pay types, job names, and relationship types). For this data, you can "localize" Dayforce to suit your organization's needs, meaning that you can customize your organization's data according to a specific culture.

There are two reasons that you might want to use the localization feature:

  • To localize the text that isn't already translated (that is, user-created data).
  • To customize the text that is already provided. For example, you could change the New button to Create.
