This background job saves up-to-date KPI data and recalculates the derived values without user intervention. Typically, KPI data in Dayforce comes from multiple sources and can be updated frequently during any given period. Without this background job, KPI data is only refreshed when users click Save in Plan.
You can configure and schedule the KPI Synchronization background job, such as nightly, to ensure that Dayforce persists updated KPI data. This functionality helps provide more timely KPI data to several areas of Dayforce that rely on accurate and up to date KPI data to be effective.
Note: When using this background job with the Schedule Cost/Time Aggregation background job, you should run this job after the completion of the Schedule Cost/Time Aggregation job. Additionally, the offset and length of periods specified in the Schedule Cost/Time Aggregation job should align with the offset and length of periods specified in this job.
