Ireland Pay Group Setup

Before You Begin: This topic only describes the specific settings in the Payroll Properties and Pay Calendars tabs that are required to set up a pay group for Ireland. For full instructions on creating and configuring pay groups in Dayforce see Pay Setup Configuration.

Add Pay Groups

To add a pay group:

  1. Go to Pay Set-up > Pay Group.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Click the Payroll Properties tab.
  4. In the Country drop-down list, select Ireland. This selection automatically populates the Tax year Start Month and Tax Year Start Day drop-down lists with January and 1, respectively.
  5. (Optional) Click the Allow Advance Payment Weeks checkbox to allow employees in the pay group to receive advance holiday pay.
  6. Note: The Allow Advance Payment Weeks checkbox is only available for weekly pay.
  7. In the RPN Parameters tab, complete the following fields:
    • Retrieve RPN records during calculation:
    • Legal Entity: Select the legal entity associated with the pay group.
    • Last run date:
    • Request RPN for new employees:
  8. Click Save, then click Refresh.

Generate Pay Calendars

To generate pay calendars for a pay group for a given year:

  1. Go to Pay Set-up > Pay Group.
  2. Select the pay group for which you are generating the pay calendar.
  3. Click the Pay Calendars tab.
  4. Ensure that the current year is selected, or change the year using the arrow buttons.
  5. Click Generate.
